Hand Made Caucasian Kazak over 100 years old

Hand Made Caucasian Kazak with a multi coloured star design on a background of navy blue, bordered by a tan patterned design.

This antique collectors item is over one hundred years old and is in fantastic condition considering its age.

Naturally worn with low pile due to its age, this piece also consists of "abrash" (certain areas where the colour has faded) and also has a sewn up line from when the carpet, at some point in its history, suffered a cut.

Please bare in mind that a handmade carpet will never be perfect. There will always be human error and you may find this in it's design, pattern, alignment or shape. Whereas in a Machine made carpet these would be labelled as faults, with a handmade carpet these are considered to add character.
